100th
Day is Here!
The
students of the Martha B. Day School made it a goal to have
collected at least 100 items by the 100th day of school
to donate to the Bloomingdale Animal Shelter.
We not only reached our goal but we collected and donated
424 items plus a generous monetary donation!

Nancy
Snow brought her dog K.C. and Joan Balistreri brought her dog
Zippy. Sam Balistreri read a book to the students titled,
May I Pet Your Dog? by Stephanie Calmenson.
This book was an excellent choice because it reviewed
animal safety rules.

A special "thank you" to all
of the students and families
that donated items to the Bloomingdale Animal Shelter!

February
18, 2010, will be our 100th day of school celebration.
The students counted ten groups of ten fruit loops and
then made a necklace with 100 fruit loops.
The students also collected 100 items at home and brought
them to class to share with their classmates and to display.

Valentines for Veterans

The
kindergarten students created homemade Valentine's Day cards for
the Veterans. The students had so much fun getting creative for
a great reason! |
