Citizens Advisory Committee
Posted on 09/14/2022

Dear Families & Community:

In the fall of 2021, Bloomingdale Public Schools completed the Strategic Planning Process to layout a framework for district decision making over the next five years. One of the identified and adopted goals was to address our facility needs.

During the summer of 2022, the district held three public input sessions to gather feedback from the community as we begin to develop a plan for improvement. As we move into the next stage of taking input from stakeholders and putting that input into an actionable plan, the Board of Education's Public Relations Committee and District Leadership would like to invite interested individuals to serve on a Citizens Advisory Committee.

Citizens Advisory Committees are particularly useful in keeping the Board of Education and the district leadership informed with regard to community opinion and in representing the community in the study of specific school need. In our case, the focus will be on facilities.

If you are interested in serving on this committee, please complete the form on the link found below.  We are looking to have about 15 representatives, inclusive of school families, community residents and district professional staff. Dates and times will be decided once the committee has been established.

Citizens Advisory Commitee

Best,

Dr. Nicosia
